Thus I wanted to start a company to help connect others to quality tea.

Why is the company called Scholar's Tea?:

Whether we’re going to classes in a school, reading on the train, or doing something like taking some time to think about age-old questions like, “What does it all mean?” we’re all scholars on some level, and we are all connected by this scholarship.

How Scholar’s Tea Works:

There is no real mystery to it. Before I started the company I spent lots of my free time seeking out the best tea I could find for the best price. This allowed me to become acquainted with a few people in the tea industry.

One day I figured that what I was doing for myself was something that I could do on a larger scale, and I started Scholar’s Tea.

Today I’m still looking for good tea at a good price, but when I find it I buy as much as I can, and then I try to sell it to others at a reasonable price.

I have four simple rules at Scholar's Tea:

Sell good tea. Every tea I sell I also drink. I don’t compromise on quality.
Be open and honest about what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, and how I’m doing it.
Treat every person who is a potential customer (i.e. everyone) like a VIP.
If doing something as a business conflicts with my personal values I won’t do it.

The Scholar’s Tea Company Values:

I’ve heard many people say that you have to live the way that you want others to live, or to put it in another way, “be the change you want to see in the world.” I believe this, and by creating Scholar’s Tea, I have an opportunity to practice business in a way that makes me proud. I take this opportunity very seriously.
